See Page Series Manager Help for general information. A blog is a special case of Page Series. Also see skyTags, Blog Templates, and Blog Settings for information on editing your templates and CSS style sheets.
The starting template for a new blog is the same as the default Page Template. This is set in Pages > Module Preferences. You may change this in Blog Settings (preferences).
The starting time to Schedule New Pages is the same as the default for Pages. This gives you time to change the template to your new blog text. Just click Reschedule or Now in the skyWriter window to put it on the web.
When you are Managing Blogs, you have a new controls row labelled View, the Series controls row is now labelled Blog, and the Pages controls row is now labelled Posts.
The three views let you edit the Archive Templates , the individual Post Templates with similar content elements, and the Posts themselves, which are ordinary HTML pages editable in a skyWriter.
You change the general information in the blog in the Archive Template. This is a content template with content element tags that position the various parts of the blog according to your CSS style sheet instructions. For instructions, see Blog Templates and skyTags.
Note that the CSS style sheet is very important for the appearance of the blog. The default style sheet (Blog.css) is kept in the timeLines folder. Create a new one (preferably in a new CSS folder), and use getURL to start with the default style sheet.
You may move the content element tags around to rearrange the parts of your blog, but take care to preserve the content element tag integrity (strictly follow tag nesting rules).
Content element tags look like this: (See skyTags)
